*Last Night*

After the Kiss Elena and I shared at the restaurant, I got even more conflicted with myself. I trailed her home just to make sure she got there safely. I was even going to talk to her.

Imagine my surprise when I noticed Van Mikeslson rushing out of her home. My heart sunk and I felt a sense of anger wash over me. I folded my fists and quickly dialed his assistant to reschedule a meeting to rediscuss the terms of our deal.

Call me possessive but I didn’t want him any where near Elena. The funny part was that I didn’t even know why. I just turned around and went back home. One thing is for sure, Elena Salvatore is making me loose my mind, she’s driving me absolutely crazy, mad with desire and I can’t control it.

Laying in bed, I started thinking of ways to uncover the truth between she and Van. My curiousity was at its breaking point and I had to know. Talking to her didn’t help so I have to think outside the box. Then, it occured to me. I’ll ask the person who’s been with him for long, she’ll definately know something, she has to.

*Present Time*

I couldn’t concentrate on my work as different thoughts occupied my mind. Some were of my meeting with my special guest and others were of Elena. Most were of the latter. I yearned to talk to her, get close to her. It was weird feeling this way.

Laying down my pride, I got up and walked out of the office.

“Mrs Mikeslson!”

I exclaimed in surprising watching Octavia Mikeslson stare at Elena who bowed at her. My first instinct was to protect Elena if she said anything to make her feel bad.

“I was just talking to your receptionist but it seems she’s…”

“Let’s go to my office.”

I cut her short before she says something that tips me over the edge.

“Alright. Let’s go.”

She agreed taking powerful strides towards me. Elena refused to lift her head up making me wonder what’s so special about Octavia. Could she be avoiding her because she knows of what happened with her husband?

My head hurts but thankfully all these questions and more would be answered in just a few minutes.

Shutting the door behind me, I directed her to a seat opposite me.

“I have to admit, I was surprised to hear your request.”

“Yes. I thought it’d be better to renegotiate.”

I wasn’t lying to Elena when I said the visit was a professional one. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have a hidden agenda.

“I thought the deal was signed.”

“It was. I have no problem with that but I would like to keep my assistant. I’m planning a very important company party and I need her.”

I blurted out. I guess I’m having a party.

“Ohhh. That can be arranged.”

She says getting her computer from her bag. It was more like a mini laptop.

“I’ll just check here and make a note so I can remember. What’s her name again?”

“Elena Salvatore.”

I said watching her expression.

“What did you say?”

She drawled up tucking her hair behind her ear.

“That woman out there is Elena Salvatore.”

I nodded my head. Her eyes twinkled with an unreadable expression. Suddenly, Octavia stood up from my chair and rushed outside. I had a feeling if I didn’t stop her, something terrible would happen.
