Taylor’s Pov
I knew I could twerk, really well at that, I take yoga lessons unknown to everyone plus when ever I let crazy Taylor out once in a while, I may or may not dance while twerking to an imaginary audience.
To everyone I was the nerd who didn’t have a twerking bone in her, I was gonna prove them wrong.
We were about ten girls in the middle,jenny excluded as Timothy held her tightly on her waist, the sight was actually pretty funny seeing Timothy wouldn’t let her go although she obviously wanted to join the contest but I guess he had other plans.
So it’s pretty simple, once the song starts you girls can start whenever you like and once it’s over everyone gets to vote and then we’ll call out the winner.

“Sounds nice… He added as we all nodded.

“This should be fun… I thought as Sasha smirked.

He counted one to ten before the song came on,the exact same song I use every time I wanna go crazy dance or in most cases twerk… Particular by nasty C.

“Victory is assured… I thought taking one last glance at mason before getting into position and by the looks I am receiving I was sure I’m going great.

 

The song ended after a while as the guys cheered, most of them whistled while I walked to meet mason where he stood a sly smile dancing on my lips.

“Where… How… When… Did you even learn how to twerk like that.

“I have alot of free time… I said giggling.

“You just don’t. ..

“Look like the twerking type I know…I said finishing his statement.

“Aren’t you gonna vote.

“My vote doesn’t matter you’ve obviously won… He said as I smiled.

“Let’s find out huh… I added as the guys casted their votes.

“Okay the votes are in… The guy announced as I rested my head on Mason’s shoulder feeling tired.

“And the obvious winner of this contest… She’s a keeper… Taylor…. I really don’t know her last name… He announced as the guys cheered.

“You won… He said.

“I don’t really care about winning I just wanted to see the look on Sasha’s face.

“Was it worth it…He asked as I looked back at her boiling face.

“Yep… Priceless… I added giggling yawning.

“Tired… We can leave now.

“Yeah I kinda am… I said as he carefully lifted my face before helping me up as we made to leave.

“Aren’t you gonna ask what’s your prize.. He announced again as I smirked.

“What’s my prize.. I said giggling.

“A date with any guy here, they’re college boys so girls usually love this kind of things… He said,all I could see from Sasha was red boiling anger.

“You mean,a highschool student could have a date with anyone I want here.

“Yeah they’re cute right?.

“They’re aren’t they … I said turning to look at mason.

“But my boyfriend’s cuter… I added as they cooed before giving him that peck I promised.

“You should give it to that girl over there I’m sure she’s dying to go on that date… I said chuckling before grabbing Mason’s hand as we walked out.

“Did you really mean what you said back there…He said as we headed towards his bike.

“Every word… I said getting on already used to his helmet.

“But you said….

“I said you’re cuter… I said a smirk at the corner.

“Once again you manage to make my day.. He said as I held onto his while he started the engine driving off.

 

I was feeling a little sleepy the minute he pulled over at my house, I stepped down from his cycle full of smiled.

“I had fun today… I stated simply.

“Me too.

“Me more… I retorted.

“Me morer.

“That’s so not a word but me morest… I said smirking… I win.

“Oh really me most… No arguments… See you on Monday… He said stealing a peck before getting back on his bike.

“Me moster… I thought walking in.

“He brought you two minute late… Dad said the minute I walked in.

“Seriously dad… I said out loud.

“Argg… Alright I hope you had fun.

“Lots dad.

“You look tired.

“Yeah I am I think I’ll go back to bed, I might even skip dinner.

“Alright baby sleep tight… He said hugging me lightly.

I walked upstairs into my room carefully turning on the lights jumping in slight fright at the sight of my mum sitting on my bed.

“So how’d it go.. She said giggling.

“It went well.. I said yawning.

“You’ll sleep after you tell me everything.

“There’s nothing to tell mum, it isn’t what you’re thinking we didn’t go to any fancy restaurants he just took me to meet his friends.

“OMG!… He introduced you to his friends.

“Yes mum and I don’t get why you’re so excited about that.

“Because when a guy introduced a girl to his friends it means he really likes her.

“Yeah right… I said unable to believe.

“I’m serious…

“Yeah mum…i believe you… I said my tone filled with sarcasm.

“But I really need to rest now… I said changing into casual clothes.

“I know you won’t believe me but it’s the truth…Anyways sleep tight baby… She said placing the covers on me.

“Night mum… I said as we walked out of the room.

“Pttt… She can’t be right… I thought referring to mum said.

“That guy did say I was the first girl he was bringing… I thought silently.

“Or maybe I was the first girl he was seeing… I added again scoffing.

“Yeah… Mum can’t be right besides this is all just an act at the end of the day it all boils down to being an act… So control yourself Taylor… Control is the key… I muttered before finally letting sleep take over.

 

It was Sunday morning and I had little to do before service and after that I would spend the whole day watching movies with my family since I didn’t have anything special planned.
I blinked my eyes opened grinning before jumping out of bed since I already had the day planned, I took a nice little short shower before playing some loud music on speaker to be sure they’ll all be awake, I began cooking immediately since I was a bit hungry, I didn’t have anything to eat before going to bed last night and my tummy is begging for mercy.
Collins walked sluggishly down the stairs behind mum and dad as breakfast was served.
We ate in our usual silence, I got up after eating clearing the plates heading back up stairs to get dressed for service.

We were all ready to leave about an hour later as we entered dad’s car.

 

Service was the same as usual and before I knew it we were already home.
I walked inside groaning since I knew I would be bored for sure.
Mum and dad were already getting the pop corn ready for the movie we were about to watch.
“Call me by your name”.
Everyone seems to like the movie, the name seems a little awkward to me nevertheless I kept an open mind as we took a sit on the couch, the movie was already starting

I was right not to judge the movie because it was simply the best romance comedy and just the right amount of thrill, we were halfway to the end and I didn’t want it to end, the popcorn was almost finished when my phone beeped, my eyes stayed glued to the screen,i answered without looking at the contact not wanting to miss a second of the movie.

“Hello… I said cheerily.

“Hey tay…Mason voice came on as I checked the contact.

“oh hey mason… I said as mum turned to smile at me.

“You sounds busy am I interrupting anything.

“No of course not I’m just watching this movie that’s all.

“Oh I’ll call you later then.

“OK but we could chat on WhatsApp if you don’t mind… I said hopefully.

“Of course not I’ll send you a message… He said as I smiled before he hung up.

I logged on immediately still glued to the TV, I would get notified anytime he sent some message so chatting and watching the movie was an easy task, we talked about random events, school work home teachers anything that came to mind till the movie was over Collins fell asleep on the couch mum looked a little drowsy dad was no exception, I was so engrossed in the chat with mason that by the time the movie ended I switched off the TV making my way to my room.

I sent one last text informing him I was a little tired since the movie just ended, he replied saying he was also tired and he needed rest, what shocker me was the beating heart emoji he used at the end before I logged off

“It’s just am emoji… I thought getting into bed.

I woke up a few hours later, I ate a little before going upstairs to my room to sleep picturing how tomorrow at school would be.

“Only one way to find out Tay… I thought going back to bed.

 

A typical Monday was what I woke up into, as always I would shut my eyes and plan my day, there wasn’t really much to plan except don’t get into too much trouble and try not to make a fool out of yourself.
I proceeded to getting dressed but before that I made sure to pick out a simple jean with a white t-shirt.

I was ready in a little while, I wasn’t taking breakfast I was a bit full from last night, I checked the clock seeing the time they should all be awake by now so there was really no need for me to do anything.
I walked downstairs after getting dressed as well as grabbing my things confirming my suspicions since they were all eating.

“I’ll be leaving now dad need to get to school early anyways… I said smiling.

“Alright dear have fun… He replied as I walked out.

 

I walked closer to school seeing students gathered in one spot I checked the parking lot and the TIMS were in school but they usually don’t stay around that area so it was really strange that everyone was there.

“What’s happening… I said referring to a random student.

“Are you new here… She said staring at me.

“It’s Taylor… I said as her eyes widened.

“OMG! Taylor… She exclaimed as some students stared at me.

“You look great… She said ask felt embarrassed because of the looks I was getting.

“Umm what’s happening… I said trying to change the topic.

“Oh it’s that time of the school year.

“What time.

“Scavenger hunt… She said as I gasped before giggling.

“OMG!… I exclaimed.

“Yeah and we’re all waiting for the PA system to announce.

“How much longer… I said unable to wait.

“Any moment from now….

“Welcome students to this year’s scavenger hunt… The PA system started.

“As you all know, the rules are simple your lists are in your locker all you have to do is go get get them, they are a hundred items on that list first team to find them all wins, it’s easier if you’re in teams so this year you’ll be in teams of four, we can’t assign partners to you so it’s better if you choose yourself, remember hunt and have fun… It added as students cheered.

“This should be so much fun… I thought as I opened my locker getting my list.

“So scavenger hunt… Jenny said.

“Of course I’ll be your team mate… I said rolling my eyes

“Yeah whatever… She said as she giggled.

“Timothy too which means we just need one more person which is…

“Me… That farmilar voice said…..
