He wouldn’t budge at first. Almost like he didn’t care what Ethan thought or said. I did. I added more effort and successfully pushed him off.

Ethan’s eyes met with the kit and they darkened.

“I saw a broken glass on the floor. Did you f****ng touch her?”

“He…”

“You’re delusional if you think I would ever hurt her.”

Stefan fired and I flinched at his tone.

“You’re stupid not to realise that you already have.”

Ethan retorted shutting him up. Sadly, he was right. Stefan had already hurt me. I’m sure he meant physically, he would never hurt me physically but he’s already broken my resolve.

“I would never touch her.”

Ethan scoffed in response throwing daggers at him.

“This is my house. You’re not invited here and as sure I want you to leave. Now.”

Ethan demanded showing no signs of backing down. The two of them glared at each other and if I didn’t do something fast, Stefan would hit him for sure.

“I came to see Lina. I’m not leaving until I do.”

“She doesn’t want to see you.”

He thundered clearly annoyed. I flinched once again as they spoke about me like I wasn’t in the goddamn room.

“You’re not her and you don’t know that. I want to see her.”

“If she wanted to see you or get close to you, she wouldn’t have left your house and come here.”

Ethan fired right back at him. The last part seemed to stir something up in Stefan. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. I gulped unable to mouth something to put an end to this.

“Ethan, we’re friends. That’s the only reason why I haven’t hit you yet. Do not push me.”

Stefan drawled out laying emphasis on each word.

“You’re an as***ole. You don’t get to treat her like trash and expect everything to be all roses. You’re dumber than I thought.”

“Ethan!”

Stefan thundered in rage. I jumped slightly.

“Stefan you need to leave now.”

I found my voice ending this feud.

“I’m not leaving till I talk to you.”

“If you ever want to talk to me, leave now. You’ve caused nothing else but trouble today. Please leave.”

I sobbed lightly and they both stared at me.

“Lina, I just want to explain. ”

“I don’t want to hear it Stefan. Not right now. I just want to try and get myself together and you’re not helping. Not at all. If you want us to have any relationship at all, you’ll walk out that door this instance.”

I pointed towards the door. His eyes twinkled and for a second I thought he’ll still try to stay.

“Okay.”

He muttered under his breath. I exhaled in relief.

“Thank you.”

I responded and watched him drag his feet out. The two men shared a look until he walked out of the door.

I placed my hands on my chest hitting the wall of the room, my heart pounding furiously and tears glistening in my eyes. I blinked and they came rushing out.

Ethan rushed to comfort me but I placed a hand in front of him.

“I want to be alone.”

I choked on my tears.

“Please…”

I added noticing he was trying to oppose. He nodded his head and walked out as well shutting the door behind him.

It all came crashing down. My emotions at the surface. I couldn’t hold anything back anymore.
