CHAPTER 4
Ayesha flung the last credentials on the floor. There were piles of other credentials on the floor. “All of these people don’t worth being my P.A, I don’t want any of them. Put up another vacancy.” She said to Martha,her receptionist.
“There’s a new one that just came in frequently” Martha said.
“What?”
“Credentials”
Aysh stretched her hand to collect the credentials from Martha. “He’s really bold,dropping his credentials latter. Anyways,i love bold people” Aysh said as she was going through the credentials. “Kade Bauer?”
“Pack up the remaining credentials and put them in the shredding machine. Put a call through to this Kade and tell him to come for an interview” Aysh said to Martha. “And get me Pluto,i want him to join me for shopping”
“Yes ma’am”

After shopping with Pluto,she decided to go back home. When she got to the living room her mother was reading a women magazine while her father was reading his newspaper. She knew that anytime they just finish thier quarrels they end up tranferring thier aggressions to a newspaper and magazine.
“Hi mum,hi dad” She greeted.
Pluto ran over to meet Ford where he was sitting and sat on his lap. “Hi Aysh” Ford greeted before he finally faced Pluto. “Hey Pluto”
“Dad what’s wrong with mum?” Aysh whispered into her father’s ear.
“I don’t know and i don’t care to know” Ford said so that Betty could hear him.
“Of course you care” Betty shot back.
“Mum” Aysh cautioned.
“Don’t you dare ‘mum’ me Aysh,what exactly is wrong with you and your father?” Betty fired.
“What is wrong with you too?” Ford shot back.
“I am your wife and you need to take care of me” Betty said throwing her magazine at Ford.
“What?!! You expect me to give you that huge amount of money? No way!!!”
“Why can’t you give me? Don’t you have enough? You don’t want to take care of your wife?” Betty shot back.
Aysh just stood confused not knowing the next step to take. “Mum,dad. Enough!!!” She finally spoke up. “Mum,what do you want?”
“Actually Aysh,one of my friends is organizing a party and she just ran out of bills,she couldn’t call off the party anymore so i wanted to save her from humilation and i decided to sponsor her. That’s because i am Betty Sherman. Sherman!!!” Betty said emphasizing on her surname.
“How much is the money mum?”
“I hope you aren’t planning to give her?” Ford asked.
“Why can’t she give me? She’s my daughter afterall”
“And she’s my heiress”
“If i didn’t give birth to her would you have an heiress?”
“It’s okay!!” Aysh shouted. “How much mum?”
“10 million” Betty said resting her back.
“Mum that’s a huge amount of money” Aysh gasped.
“What? You can’t give me? You have enough of it. You are my daughter, and you don’t have to behave like your father” Betty said.
“I will transfer it to you first thing tomorrow morning” Aysh said
“Aysh” Ford called.
“It’s okay dad just let her have it” Aysh said.
Aysh was going up to her room when she heard her father’s voice. “Aysh change up and meet me in my study”
“Okay dad”
Aysh went up to her room,took her shower,slipped into a comfortable cloth and headed to her father’s study. She knocked slightly on the study door before she heard her father’s voice telling her to move into the room.
Ford was sitting on his seat waiting patiently for his daughter to also have a seat. She finally sat down opposite Ford.
“I heard you fired Josh” Ford started.
“Yes dad”
“Why?”
“He took Pluto to the vet and didn’t bring him back. Pluto walked back home on his own” She explained.
“Then,what happened?”
“Come on dad,Pluto came on his own.”
“Nothing happened to him right? I mean Pluto?” “Yes dad,nothing happened”
“So i see no reason for you to fire him”
“Dad,he called Pluto a mere dog”
“So?”
“Dad i can’t take Josh back. I just can’t bring myself to do it”
“I’m not saying you should take him back Aysh” Then he paused,when he saw that she had nothing to say he continued. “You see Aysh,there are many things you don’t know about business”
“Dad don’t start” Aysh said.
“I will. I know more about business than you. You don’t have to change personal assistant anyhow,a personal assistant knows more about you and the company. He’s the one who sticks to you everytime. Jasper was my P.A and now he’s my butler. He knows more secret about my family and the company and once he’s fired or resigns,if word about this family business gets out we will be at great loss” Ford explained.
“Okay dad” Aysh said nonchalantly.
“I hope you stick to my advice”
“Okay dad” She stood up and looked around the room for Pluto. “Where’s Pluto?” She asked
“I asked Jasper to take him for a stroll”
She left the room after hearing what her father had to say. She bumped into her mother after coming out of the door. “Mum,were you eavesdropping?” Aysh asked startled.
“Sssssshh” Betty cautioned as he dragged her away from the study door.
“Mum,what were you doing at the door?” Aysh asked pulling her hand away fom her mother’s.
“I thought Ford wanted to sweet talk you into not giving me the money i requested” Betty explained.
“Mum, he didn’t do that” Aysh said getting annoyed.
“What? Are you siding with him right now? I’m your mother” Betty said.
“And he’s my father”
“I was the one that made you the heiress”
“Mum are we talking about this again?” She asked rhetorically as she walked out on her mother.
