Clouded Leopard – Episode 1

HUNTERS POV

“Hey eran re”, I said in Yoruba, seeing the huge antelope few meters away from me “more reason why I prefer this ayelokun forest” I aimed at it with my chakabula(locally made gun) to pull the trigger I heard the ruffles of leaves behind and I saw a huge and overwhelming shadow over me, it looked like that of a lion but lions don’t stand like humans, I turned back slowly confirming my death , the site was scary.
DEREK’S POV

“I can’t see this guys anywhere” I said into my earcom I saw the movement of leaves and then saw an animal figure, here comes my experiment I muttered to myself, I tried to use my ear to do more investigation, but lions are not specialized in hearing, I finally located the human, I had gotten too close to him before realizing he was not the target, he was an hunter I transformed and he turned probably he saw my shadow, but no one sees me in this form and survives, I raised him with my finger, his little toy fell off his hands, I penetrated his chest slowly with my claws, he screamed in pain, just what I wanted so Jake can hear and come out from his hiding game.
NARRATOR POV
“Who just heard that” Jake said in his mixed ascent “think I did Ben” said in a curiosity filled voice, “hey Dan why don’t you use your damn hearing abilities to trace it, because that sounds like a slow murder” Ben said with a tone off urgency now facing Dan, “how can he, the sound has stopped” Jake said kind of confused facing Dan for a confirmation which Dan couldn’t provide “well he did something similar while trying to save you” Kelvin chipped in with his negro intonation giving silence its way in , which lasted thirty two second, “it came from the north west part of this forest” Dan said, leading them to where the sound came from.
DEREKS POV
(Few hours later)
Home darling, I said raising my voice when I entered the house and saw no one in it, on hearing my voice Jessica ran down the stairs, “oh you are back so soon, meaning you didn’t get them right?” She asked, “well not like you see them with me” I said rudely, “I sure will I said confidently” “how?” “ You will do the job” I said ignoring her question, “why me?” Answer me darling she said rubbing her hand on my chest slightly which calmed me down, “well you haven’t really shone me your tactics” I said in a serious tone, “how will I locate them” she asked with confusion clearly heard in her voice, “I brought out a phone like device, typed in some keywords and then lifted up my head and replied, “I got eyes on them, but there’s a problem, the tracker makes slight sounds while in use which they shouldn’t hear anytime soon” I said assuring her.
