Oh I don’t think you sure Steve, if you are sure then you’d be more vigilant”

There was an immediate silence after the man slammed, Steve gathered his brow in confusion. He stood at a point as he tried to reckon what the man meant.

“How.. What are you saying? Is there any problem?” Steve asked.

“How many people knows where you kept Viv?” the man asked too instead of answering.

“No one else except Derrick and I knows where she’s at”

“What about Jason and Jakoby?”

“Jakoby and Jason doesn’t know where she’s at”

“Then how the hell do my wife found out Vivian is somewhere safe and not kidnapped like its assumed?”

“What do you meant sir?” Steve answered and frown.

“Its my wife, she’s been acting odd to me lately and just yesterday she accused me of knowing where Vivian is… She kept asking me what I know about her disappearance and from what we discussed, its seems Vivian contacted her friend Maggie who told my wife about it”

“What !!” Steve exclaimed after the man made an audible sigh.

The conversation continued for a minute and it was agreed that Mr. Stephen would speak with Vivian in two hours.

Steve ended the call and turned back, he navigated to his contact list and quickly dialed the Contact saved as head Chef. He waited for the call to ring and began to walk forward immediately it was answered.

“Zach, I thought you ought to monitor every damn thing at that place” Steve fired immediately he heard the chef voice.

“What do you meant sir?” The chef asked in confusion with the phone placed to his ear. Two maid were standing before him. One was carrying a tray and the other holding an handkerchief.

They were dressed in the same uniform only that the head chef attire was slight different, the man was seated and the maid was just returning from the room arranged for Vivian. He was asking them few questions about Vivian comments on the meal they just took to her when Steve’s call distracted him.

“There is a cellphone with Vivian, she contacted someone prior to the instruction, how could you not know about it?” He heard Steve slammed.

“Cellphone !! No calls could go in and out of here unless I authorize it sir”

“Then how do she make the contact?”

“Ehmm..” The chef mumbled out with confusion, he looked baffled and turned up to the maids standing before him as an immediate silence occurred.

“Get into the room and find out asap. I want no odds or your safety will be compromise” Steve ordered when he couldn’t say anything and the line went off immediately.

He heaved a deep breath and kept the phone back into his pocket.

He stood at a point for a moment and head back into the hallway afterwards.

He got into the room Joel and Derrick were seated earlier and closed the door in no time.

“What’sup Murtherfuc..ker” Joel called out jokingly immediately he and Derrick saw the door opened. He sat up straight as Steve walked up to them while Derrick glance backwards.

“Derrick just briefed me, how the fu..ck do we get to the tomb?”

“We can’t proceed with anything like I’ve said till we get the nukes off our backs” Steve answered in a hard tone and sat beside Derrick.

“We’ve got tails on our backs and scores from within” Derrick enjoined.

“Therefore We’ve got to file out every threat and decides which to deal with”

Detective Cougar eventually stepped back for the two library staffs when no thumbprint were found at the last section just as the Director had told them.

He and Prosecutor Colan had checked the footages but none of the clips were suspicious or has anything to do with the recent case.

He turned to the Prosecutor who was waiting for his reaction and made a nod in affirmative.

“Where is the library Director himself?” He asked one of the other staffs who stood behind them.

“She’s in a meeting with the Chancellor at his lodge” one of them answered.

“Okay ‘She !! ‘.. When would she be back?”

“We don’t know, the Chancellor called for her immediately the break-in was reported to him”

“We need to have few words with her, can you get to the Chancellor lodge or get to her?”

“Yes we can get to her”

“Good. Kindly do that immediately”

The detective said and walked back to meet the prosecutor while the two staffs he had stepped away from walk onward.

10 minutes later.

Both dues were seated opposite the Library director in her office. The director was an middle age woman dressed in a casual white and black dress with her recommend glasses held below her eyes.

She adjusted the glasses and sat up straight, she heaved a deep breath and finally turned to the two men after a minute of letting them watch her arrange few books on the desk when they entered.

“Good day gentlemen, I am sorry for keeping you waiting, today has been hectic and I hope you understand the necessity of taking proper measures?” The woman asked.

“Yes we do Ma’am, if you don’t mind. Let’s get straight to business shall we?” Prosecutor Colan asked her too and watch her nod in affirmation.

“What is the content inside the section that was burgled?” Inspector Kelvin asked instantly.

“Books, the section was only for the staffs, not only the ones working at the library but everyone else in the institution except the students”

“Then why do you think anyone would want to burgled just a book when it can be borrowed?”

“I do not understand, the book has relevance specifically on the Hinds art of war, it was written by Ireti Adedipe a very long time ago during the Hind war. I do not know why anyone would want to steal it when it can be easily borrowed at the library”

“Hmm. The report we got didn’t specifically say a book was stolen ma’am, we had report that a device belonging to a secret organization was stored in that section” Detective Cougar countered in a disagreement manner.

He looked at the prosecutor seated beside him and relax on the office chair before turning back to the already baffled woman.

“A device !! What are you talking about?” the woman asked as Prosecutor Colan leaned forward, he placed his elbow on the office chair and stared at the woman.

“You are the Library Director, aren’t you supposed to know everything stored in any sections of the library?” The prosecutor asked.

“That is what I just told you, all of the sections contains Books, nothing except books” the woman slammed and stared at both dues looking more baffled.

“We had our report Ma’am and we have evidences of our claim. A device was kept in that library which we believe you know about”

“Excuse me Detectives, what are you saying? Who authorized your report and what report are you talking about?” the woman slammed again, more baffled but with reflect of annoyance.

“I see no necessity why you should deny this Director, you need to come plain indefinitely and…”

“Excuse me detective, I hate to walk you out of my office but if you do not mind I may have to” The woman voiced out in anger, interrupting the prosecutor.

“I’ve been told how you address the ICT Director before coming here but I would not accept such from you or anybody”

“I’m afraid we may have to use the Law here ma’am” Detective Cougar said loud.

“Nobody told you not to but you do not address us and think you….”

“That will be all ma’am, thanks for your time. We’d leave, but know that by the time we return, it will be on the basis of arrest” Prosecutor Colan added and stand up before the detective who followed after him when he began to walk out of the room while the woman watched.

7 minutes later

The two law enforcement officer were now seated in a car. Detective Cougar was at the driver side and prosecutor Colan at the passenger side.

The prosecutor heaved a deep breath and use the seat belt while he waited for the detective who was on a call to ignite the car.

“That’s as far as I can help you detective, I have no idea what’s in the device or what type of device it even was, the only thing I know is that the Seth kept their assets there and I can not even proof the certainty”

“Do not worry, we would find out ourselves, thanks for your help” The detective answered and the call finally ended.

He kept the phone on the dashboard and used the seat belt after a glance at the prosecutor before igniting the car

“What did he say?”

“We might need to find out ourselves, he barely knows much about this”

“Then how do we proceed?”

“We might need to visit Mr. Kim again”

Location: Chairman Kim Residence

Doss dropped off the cup on the cabinet again and walked to the refrigerator. He opened and brought out a fruit juice, he unstrapped the cover and pick up another cup from the set of cups arranged on the shelves.

He poured the juice into the two cups and picked out a tray from a different section of the shelf. He placed both cups and the remnants of the juice on the tray and carry.

He turned immediately and head back to his father who was seated close to the pool side.

He dropped the tray on the only stool kept beside his old man and returned back to his previous seat.

He flung his shirt away and picked up one of the cups after Chairman Kim picked the other cup. He smiled at the old man and they exchanged glasses immediately before they began to gulp down the chilled drink.

“The outside world is beautiful isn’t it?” Chairman Kim asked immediately he emptied the cup. He stared afar the window and smiled as he relax on the pool chair comfortably.

“Yeah it is, the world is a beautiful place without chaos Dad” Doss answered and stared afar the window likewise. He could see the pictorial long distance from his position with the help of the amazing lights far across and nearby, It was extremely beautiful and colorful.

“The world can not be without Chaos my son. Everyone does what they can do to make them firm and successful, every sole breath of a successful man has a tone of Chaos”

“The world will be a better place if everyone stop being greedy and obey every single law Dad”

“And do you think that’s possible Doss? Do you think money makers would want to stop making more money?”

Chairman Kim asked thoughtfully as he dropped the cup on the tray. He poured himself more juice and carried the cup again.

He glance at Doss immediately and began to sip the juice in the cup. He was about to ask another question when Doss phone suddenly rang.

He watched Doss pick up the phone, he relax himself on the chair while Doss answered the call.

“Sir, some armed men are trying to penetrate the building” the impatience caller voice sounded instantly.

Distance gunshots followed and the line went off.
