Chapter 31

<<Rosa>>

Me: Mr Briggs, may I stop for a few minutes?

Mr Briggs : what? Stop?

Me: yes, just at that plaza over there. We’ve already passed it. It’s just for a few minutes

Mr Briggs: okay but you’re not going alone

I nodded and he told the driver to turn. I showed him the place to stop and he did. I came out and wore sunglasses, I walked to the store � and looked around, then I saw him again, cleaning the floor at a corner

Me: that’s definitely him.

I walked to the counter and bought two bags of candy �, just so I could have a better view of him. The lady behind the counter saw me peeping

Lady: are you wondering why a handsome guy is working as a janitor too

I looked at her

Handsome? She thinks Ron is handsome? What if she sees Bad Boy?

Me: yeah, how long has he been working here?

Lady: I came to meet him here three months ago and I almost crushed on him.

Me: hahaha, he’s cute

I adjusted my glasses, paid her and left. I stopped at the front and checked the surroundings so I can come back later. I then went to the car

Me: I’m back

I sat in and closed the door

The driver started the car

Me: who wants candy

I lifted the bags

Mr: so you just wanted candies?

Me: maybe

We drove off

Leon’s POV

I got a call from Rosa around midnight, I became scared instantly. I thought she was in trouble

�hello Leon

� Rosa, are you okay?

� yeah I’m okay. Just that I was very busy in the day time

That’s why I’m calling now

� oh, thank God. I thought otherwise

� haha, so how are you doing?

� I’m fine. How’s work?

� pretty fun. Leon, can you keep a secret

� sure I can. I have a zipper on my mouth

� good, guess who’s alive and well

My mind went far

� BAD BOY?

� noooo….. But I wish he is….

Her last sentence was dull, I might have added salt to an injury

� I’m sorry… I just thought maybe…

�… don’t worry it’s okay

� so who’s alive and well?

� Ron

� Ron?

� yes, I saw him earlier in New York. He’s working as a janitor and he’s been doing that for over three months

� oh my God! So he faked his death?

� yes he did.. But there are some things I don’t just understand about all these

� Rosa, I don’t think you’re safe in the USA. Just come home, let’s figure things out

� no, I can’t come back. South Korea is full of memories I don’t wanna remember

� then what are we going to do?

� can you  one here and stay with me for a month?

� a month?

� yeah, you could possibly take a one month leave right?

� yes I could

� then I’ll see you in one week

� all right dear

� good night

� good night

She hung up and I dropped my phone. I smiled to myself, its obvious that I really miss Rosa

I sat down on the wooden chair and faced my computer which was just on the table. I searched for all information I could get about Ron but it seems everything about him has been wiped off

I was really angry. But what pacified me is that his predicament is worse than that of Bad Boy’s. At least, my Cha Ba Bo is in a better place, that’s if he makes heaven

But, to me Bad Boy can’t make heaven. That boy is full of sh*t

I smiled sadly

Me: but I still love him

My tears dropped, every moment of my life,  my greatest desire is to see Bad Boy again. I sometimes try to get him off my mind but deep down I know he is my mind itself

Me: Ron doesn’t even deserve to live for taking you away from me. I will try and get to the bottom of this

I searched for CHOI EUN SOO on the internet and what I saw shocked me.

He’s the owner of a big hospital in Africa. According to the press, he’s one of the best philanthropists Africa has ever seen. He’s very rich and kind and his mission is to help preserve life

Me: preserve life my foot!! He’s a f**king blood sucker

I banged my fist on the table. Why would Eun Soo be living this kind of life?

Wait

I thought he worked with Ron to ki*ll Bad Boy, then why is Ron living a dejected life?

Something’s not right. I must get to the bottom of this

I turned  off the computer and went to bed

The next day, Mr Briggs was ready to leave New York. I wasn’t going to follow him because I quit the job

You can imagine how dumbfounded he was, he kept staring at me with his mouth wide open for more than two hours

I apologized and told him that I had a very crucial assignment that I had to take off because of my family.

He still didn’t want to let me go, he even offered to pay me four times my normal salary plus the one the agency pays me. But I told him that money wasn’t the problem.  I promised to assign two other bodyguards I know will do the job well to replace me

He then permitted me to go

I was happy and I remained in the hotel while they went to the airport. Later on, I went to the store and saw a different girl on the  counter. I walked to her and greated informally

Me: please, I just came back from South Korea and I’m looking for my elder brother. He works here as a janitor. Please can you direct me to him?

She looked me over and saw that I was really Asian

Lady: wow, is good looks part of your family genes? Anyway, your brother is a part time worker here. He only works here in the morning, but you can find him at the club just down the street at night

Me: oh, okay.. Thank you

She smiled as I walked out, I went down the street and saw the club. It was still closed so I went to a park and sat down, I bought just one soft drink and sat there watching kids play until it was night time

I hired a car and drove to the club, it was already filled and it was bubbling from corner to corner.

I entered and passed through the crowd, I sighted him gambling with some guys. He had a bottle of liquor in his left hand and he was drinking himself to stupor

I stood and watched him for a while, he used $1000 as a wager. Someone laughed and said “where are you going to get that money. It’s your salary for three months”

They laughed at him and played nonetheless, of course he lost and they then demanded for the money.

They threatened to beat him up if he doesn’t pay them. Someone gave him a bad punch and he stumbled to the floor

I quickly came to his aid by dropping twice the amount they wanted on the table

Me: leave him alone

They all looked at me as I lifted him up, I took him outside and kept him in the car then drove off to a quiet place. I brought him out and he sat on the floor and puked

Me: eeewwwww… Disgusting!

He then laughed and laid on the floor beside it. I squeezed my face and covered the substance with my handkerchief

Ron: that’s better. You are a wife material

I scoffed

Me: do you recognize me?

Ron: I haven’t…..even seen your face. Let me look at you

He sat up and looked at me then smiled

Ron: you’re that stripper that stole my wallet last week. I recognize you b***h

I sighed

Me: I’m sorry I stole your wallet

I rolled my eyes

Ron: can you strip for me again?

Me: yes I will. I just need you to tell me something

Ron: hit it on me baby

Me: what’s your name?

Ron: they call me Dave

Me: is that your real name?

Ron: nah my real name is Ron

Me: who’s Bad Boy to you?

Ron: ohh, that guy! Mr Yoon hates him for killing his daughter Fedora. Even CEO Park, he’s part of the people who wanted him dead

Me: how many are they?

He counted his fingers till the fifth one

Ron: five… Five men…

Me: list them

Ron: I’m feeling so… so.. sleeepyyy

He fell down and his head landed on the handkerchief

Me: uhhhhhhhhh so gross

I stood up immediately and walked away from him. I breathed in and out then came back, I pulled him up into the car. I laid him down because he was already fast asleep and then I entered the front and drove off

Ron’s POV

I woke up when I felt water being poured on me. I was  tied firmly to a metal chair in a bathroom.

I shook my head to get the water off and I looked at the person who poured it

She was standing with a bucket in her hand. My vision cleared and I saw her face properly

Me: Rosa?

Rosa: great! Now you recognize me well!

Me: oh my God

Rosa: so continue what you were saying yesterday. The people who wanted Bad Boy dead

Me: gosh Rosa, look I’m very sorry. I shouldn’t have made a plan to ki*ll him.

Rosa: that’s not the question I asked you

She was looking so angry

Me: I’ll gladly list them but first listen to me, I was framed. There’s this man that said he was Bad Boy’s greatest enemy, he’s the master planner. I thought he was just going to help me bring down Bad Boy but his plans were different. That night, after we killed him, he said he was going to take all the share of the money paid to us by some top officials that wanted him dead

We began to fight over the money and I suddenly was seized by my own men, he turned my men against me. They beat me up and took me to a cliff, wanting to ki*ll me. But one of my trusted men saved me by bringing a clone to be killed instead

That’s how I escaped to this place

Rosa: what’s the name of this man?

Me: Bin-wong. That’s his name

Rosa: list the rest of the men

Ron: CEO Park, Mr Yoon, President Tan, Governor Woo Lee and Max Choi

Rosa: Max???

Me: yes Max. He teamed up with Eun Soo

The bucket slipped off her hand as she stared blankly at me, with her mouth wide open
