Episode 2

Subtitle: Meeting The Psychologist

Ann’s POV

It took us an hour’s drive to get to the psychologist’s office. I don’t know why my Father chose such a far place. The office was calm and quiet. We could barely hear any sound as we entered into the place.

“Good afternoon Mr. Wilfred,” the Psychologist raised her face up when I entered with Dad. “I’ve been looking forward to seeing you since you called to make a reservation.”

She got up and approached I and my Dad. She hugged my Dad slightly and then smiled at me. I looked at my Dad’s face, it seemed the psychologist was a known person, that’s why he brought me here.

“Please, have your seats,” she said to us and we sat at the other side of her table while she walked back to her seat.

“Nice to see you again Wilfred,” the woman smiled at my Dad again.

He smiled back. “My pleasure, Stella.”

I didn’t like the way they were staring and looking at each other. I never saw Dad looking at another woman like that.

“This is my daughter Ann that has come here to meet with you,” Dad introduced me to her.

“Oh! Ann, nice to meet you.”

“My pleasure,” I faked a smile. I didn’t like this woman. Can we just go somewhere else? I asked in my mind. I dare not say it out.

“You look so beautiful, as beautiful as your mother,” Stella remarked.

Oh! She knew my mother also. I smiled back at her.

Soon enough, my Dad got up and left me alone to speak with the psychologist.

“Ann, can we go over there to talk?” Stella asked me, pointing to an area where there were more comfortable seats.

I got up before she finished talking and we both walked to the place.

“What can I offer you?”

“Nothing, thanks,” I replied.

“No, I’ve got to give you something,” she insisted.

“May I get some water then?” I requested.

She got some water for me from the refrigerator and then sat in a sofa opposite me. S

“Can you tell me about these dreams now?” She asked with a smile.

I stared into her eyes. There was just something about her that I didn’t like.

I narrated my dreams to her and told her how long I had been having them.

“Have you been watching a lot of horror movies?” She asked me.

“No,” I shook my head.

“Did you watch horror movies as a kid?”

“No.”

“What about school? Have you been having scary experiences in school recently?”

“No, we are on break from school.”

“Okay,” she paused to write something in her book.

She asked some few more questions and explained some things to me.

“You will have to take time to rest well and be with friends,” she finally said. “You stay too much in your room and keep to yourself, this could be reason you’re having such thoughts and nightmares.”

I knew it, this woman was a dummy. I just don’t like her. How can she say I’ve been having those nightmares because of I stay indoor?

“Would you like to ask me any questions?” She got up, adjusting her skirt. I believe we were rounding up the conversation already.

“No,” I nodded angrily.

She was about walking away when she suddenly turned back and looked at me.

“This monster you see in the nightmares, does he say anything to you?”

“Yes, he does,” I answered quickly.

“Tell me, what does he say?” She looked into my eyes.

I squinted hard at her face, trying to remember but it just won’t come. Gosh! I heard the monster mention a word clearly this morning. But what was it?

“You don’t remember?” She asked.

“Yes,” I felt disappointed that my memory failed me.

“It’s okay, just make sure you let me know if you remember.”

Adelmo’s POV

It was my third day in Silver City and I was already getting used to it. The only thing I don’t like about this city is the way the people look at me, especially the girls. My sister, Ariella who came with me to the City told me it was because of my beautiful color and handsome face.

I knew I was truly handsome. I also knew my effect on girls. My handsomeness had enabled me to gain access to many ladies’ pants and sleep with them easily. I knew it would be easy for me to sleep with girls in this city. I could read their minds with my powers and I know some were ready to be in my bed. But I am on a different mission here and I must fulfill it.

I and my Sister are from Gentrica but we live in Illy City where we schooled. Our parents made us return to Gentrica a few months ago.

It was scary on that first day in Gentrica. We kept hearing sounds of scary animals. At night, the sky was red with blood instead of being dark. The rain that fell had blood traces and even the water around had the taste of blood. We didn’t want to stay when we visited but our parents forced us to.

Our parents told us that every native of Gentrica was supposed to return 100 years after the first destruction of the city. That day we returned made it 100 years. They said a crowned prince would be chosen the next day. This crown prince would be revealed by the spirit creatures. The crowned prince will be one of the most powerful beings on earth but will become the most powerful after carrying out an important assignment.

That important assignment was to ki*ll the descendant who carried the powers of Adorjan. For only through the blood of Adorjan can the land of Gentrica be cleansed.

We did not believe in our parents’ story until that night in Gentrica. I suddenly felt heavy winds rushing into the room.

I heard noises that almost hurt my eardrums. I heard some sounds in some languages I couldn’t understand. Then I felt something enter inside of me forcefully.

I didn’t know I had become so powerful until morning when the Priests came to our house in Gentrica. They said I was the crowned prince.

They told me I was the one to restore glory to the City of Gentrica.

They told me I had powers like no other human being on earth. I was told about the assignment to do.

Find and ki*ll the descendant of Adorjan ruthlessly.
