Ariana’s POV

‘Mommy,mommy i made it!!!!’..i screamed as i gave her my admission slip…

I have been waiting for months to get into the prestigious NC Culinary school and now my admission slip is finally here….

‘Oh Ari that’s so great but there’s one problem’…she said and I frowned..

Not again…

I know what she’s going to say already…

‘Mom you know you can’t stop me from achieving my dream,I can’t live in a cookie shop forever’…i protested…

She just hissed and kept on beating the chocolate dough for cookies…

‘It’s not just a cookie shop Ariana,this is our family’s legacy,we’re born to be bakers’…she said and i groaned…

Deep down i know what she said is true..

Everyone and i mean every single person is a baker in my family..

In fact my great grandmother was the first woman in Ohio to use an oven…

‘Yeah mom I know but I wanna be more than just a baker,i want to be the best cook in the whole world,i don’t want to just bake!!’..i said and she sighed…

She took the already set dough and poured them into the cookie pan…

I pouted my lips and gave her my usual bout of puppy eyes until she sighed..

‘Okay Ariana you can go to NC college but on one condition’…she said and i jumped…

‘What?!’.

‘You have to go see your Nana before you go’..she replied and i kissed her on the cheeks…

‘i love you,i love you’…

i left the shop and went upstairs into my room..

My parents or should i say my mom owns the building and trust me she’s a very nice landlady…

Now I have to go see Nana but it’s cool though..

it’s been long since I’ve seen my grandma and heard her stories of her famous exploits….

She was even the creator of chocolate bars…

I just love her so much…

‘Hulio is Nana home?!!’..i said as I came down from my bike…

‘What the hell Ari?,you’re 21 and you still ride a bicycle?!’..he teased..

I laughed and gave him a playful jab on his ribs and before he could do anything else I ran upstairs….

I opened the door and saw my grandma chewing something like a strawberry toffee..

‘Nana you know that’s not good for you’…i said and kissed her cheeks..

‘Are you Leaving Ariana?’..she asked and i squirmed..

‘How did she know that?!’…

‘Yes i am Nana’..i replied and she brought out a brown book…

‘Here take this Ariana’..she said giving it to me…

‘What’s this for Nana?!”..I asked when I noticed the scared look on her face…

‘Just take it and find out for yourself’..she said..

‘Nana what’s wrong?’..

‘Ariana you have to leave now’…
