“Hey buddy, how are you doing?” Leo asked Louis.

“Am fine, just that am weak and my heart is aching and i feel like i will die any moment from now” he replied slowly.

“You will be fine bro, don’t worry” Leo assured.

“What of Nanya?, Why has she not come to see me since i got here” Louis asked confused.

“Your Dad told her not to show her face to you ever again, but that is not even the main problem, we heard that you guys are siblings which means your relationship is forbidden” Leo said out of breath.

“You mean Nanya heard that too?, I hope she is not thinking of doing anything stupid to my baby?” Louis asked weakly.

“That is the only option left, you can’t be with her” He sighed.

“You think i believe my dad?, you will do something for me Leo” Louis pleaded.

“What is it?”

“You know walls have ears so come let me whisper in to your ears” Louis said wincing in pain.

Leo bent down taking his ear close to his mouth, he nodded his head at everything Louis said.

“Are you sure it will work out?” Leo asked.

“Yes of course, tell her that i sent you” Louis replied caressing his chest with his eyes closed.

“Okay then, let me go over to Nanya’s place, i will be back later” Leo said standing straight and was walking towards the door when Louis called out.

“Leo, that i gave you permission to take care of Nanya doesn’t mean you should get ideas in your head, she is still my woman, don’t forget that” Louis warned with a painful wince.

“Yes sir, i know she is still your woman, his royal majesty, don’t worry, i already got a girlfriend” Leo laughed finally walking away.

Louis smiled painfully, he knew he was not going to survive, but he needed to stay alive for Nanya and his baby, he pressed his chest as a tear dropped, he closed his eyes and winced in pain the more.

Nanya picked up another tissue paper and wiped her tears for the umpteenth time, she heard a knock, sniffed and started walking to the door, she opened the door and Leo entered scanning the living room, on the floor lay a heap of used tissue paper, he glared at Nanya immediately bending to pack the tissue paper up.

“Am sorry you saw that, i was about cleaning up before you came” she apologized trying to take the tissue from Leo.

“What is wrong with you Nanya?, You look like a mad woman, have you eaten anything at all since we came back from your mother’s office?, don’t tell me you have been starving, it is not good for your baby” Leo barked pulling his hand away making it impossible for to take the dirt from him.

“Baby?, It is better i starv and ki*ll it, a baby that is a bad omen, something we made out of incest” she scoffed.

“Don’t talk like that, i used to know you as a strong lady, when you heard about Charles’ plan, you handled it well, even when you heard of Louis’ heart disease, you still handled it like an old woman, how come this one is getting to you?” Leo scowled.

“Because this is the highest of all, how can i be pregnant for my own brother?, is that not shameful?, I never knew falling in love would be this painful” she sobbed wiping the tears with her finger.

“Sit down, we need to talk, Louis thinks his father lied, so he sent me to get samples from you, either your toothbrush or a strand of your natural hair so that i can conduct a D.N.A test to be sure that you guys are truly siblings, so till then, eat and take care of yourself and your baby” Leo said soothingly.

“It’s true, how come i never thought of a D.N.A test?, i will get you my toothbrush then since am on weavon” she replied walking to the bathroom.

She came back few seconds, handed her toothbrush to Leo, he brought out a small white nylon and gestured her to drop it inside which she did, he placed it in his bag with a sigh.

“So, how is chisom?, When are they going on vacation?” Leo asked.

“By the end of this month, am so glad Louis enrolled her in a boarding school, i wouldn’t want her to know what am passing through right now” she sniffed.

“Everything will be fine alright?, let me get going, I need to submit the samples for the test” Leo said standing up, he remembered how he had cut a strand of Louis’ hair when he had bent to listen to him, but that was on Louis order though, he shook his head and left.

Charles sighed as he went outside to talk to someone on the phone, he swiped the screen to the right and placed the phone on his ear.

“Hello Mom, how are you doing?” he asked.

“Am fine Charles, how are things over there, i trust you have handled the girl already” the person at the other end said.

“Mom, i don’t know what happened, i poisoned her ice cream and fruit juice, but guess what?, she is still alive and kicking” Charles hissed.

“What?, how can you be so stupid?, don’t you know that those two things you mentioned are not compatible with poison?, how can you put poison in an ice cream? which version of brain are you making use of?” his mother cursed.

“I didn’t know na, but the good news is that Mr Walter already told the girl to stay away from her son, and do you know another good news mom?” he said happily.

“Just tell me everything that is happening and stop dragging it” she hissed loudly making her son roll his eyes.

“Louis is at the hospital, am even at the hospital with him too, the doctor said he has less than a month to live, few days have already passed since then, making it three weeks and some days” he giggled.

“Are you serious?, that means you are the next in line for the inheritance, ehe, but what about the girl’s pregnancy?, Louis will soon have a baby, so even if he dies, his baby will inherit everything” she said.

“And that is where we have the biggest good news” Charles smiled even though his mother couldn’t see him.

“Chiboy, go ahead and tell me everything already, my ears are itching” she hissed.

“Luck smiled on us, we found out that Louis and his girlfriend are siblings which means they can’t get married to each other” he giggled.

“Explain to me what you mean by that, i don’t understand, how are they related?” she asked further.

“Mr Walter had an affair with a woman years ago, she had a baby for him, and that baby is the lady Louis is dating, so Mr Walter told her to abort the baby and forget about his son, are we not just fortunate?” he grinned widely.

“Wow, the best news ever, so when Louis finally dies, there will be no one to inherit his company apart from you” she asked happily.

“Yes mom, i have to go now, i don’t want Louis suspecting a thing, talk to you later” he said hanging up.

“Hey buddy, how are you feeling now?” Leo asked entering the private ward with a big brown envelope in his hand.

“Am just here, still the normal feeling, i feel weaker and weaker with each day that passes by, what do you have for me?, any good news in there?” he asked pointing at the envelope in his hand.

“Yes, i do have a good news, but i want you to read it yourself” Leo said extending the envelope to him.

Louis opened it with a trembling hand and a pounding heart, he brought out a piece of paper, scanned through it and a tear dropped down his cheek.

“She is not my sister, we can get married to each other, the baby is not an abomination, thank you Lord, am finally going to live, i will fight and stay alive” he sobbed weakly while still wincing in pain.

“Am happy for you bro, i will call your woman on my way home to break the news to her” Leo smiled.

“Thank you so much Leo, you have proven to be a good friend to me, thank you, i owe you one” Louis smiled.

“That’s nothing at all, am only helping a friend” Leo smiled back.

“Mr Walter, i have a bad news” doctor Joe said walking dejectedly into the ward.

“What happened doc?” Louis asked.

“Your friend needs to excuse us, it is confidential” he replied with a sigh.

“Don’t worry about Leo, he is a friend, say everything in his presence” Louis said with a smile.

“I got a call from the people in charge of getting a donor for you, they said they removed your name from the list because someone called and told them that you died already” doctor Joe replied scratching his brows.

“What?, but he is not yet dead, who would have done such a thing?” Leo screamed.

“I don’t know, i seriously don’t know, and we have less than three weeks, i don’t think we will get a donor before then” doctor Joe let out a breath.

“I think someone wants me dead, but i didn’t offend anyone, I don’t even have many friends, I wonder why someone will want me dead” Louis winced caressing his chest.

“Calm down Louis, we will get to the root of the matter. eeem, doctor, did the person mention a name to them?” Leo asked looking at the doctor.

“Oh yeah, but the name is not relevant, it is a name anyone can answer, infact the name is not something we can investigate with” he replied.

“Ehen, which name is that na?” Leo asked getting impatient.

“They said something like Chiboy” he shrugged.

“Chiboy?, i don’t know anyone bearing that name” Louis said in a confused manner.

“I will leave you to think about the name, while i attend to the other patients” doctor Joe concluded walking away.

“Chiboy, Chiboy” Louis muttered trying to remember the bearer of the name.
