” Justin I can’t.” Skyler said pushing Justin’s hands from her body.

” Why ?”

” Because I’m not in the mood. We don’t have to sex every single time. Look I need some privacy and time.” Skyler said.

” Are you missing him again ?”

” I don’t know what you’re talking about. I only insisted on being alone. I’m not in the mood for sex.” Skyler said wrapping herself with her blanket.

” Okay fine.” Justin said standing up.

” f**k.” He whispered.

” It will be nice if you let him be. To save yourself from the troubles. I’m not willing to share you not even with one Angelino guy.” Justin said and walked out.

” Angel your temperature is getting really high.” Selene said sitting close to me.

She touched my forehead and sighed.

” Do you wanna ki*ll yourself ?”

” I don’t know. I’m just missing her. I hate myself.” I said.

” Look, let it be for now. If I were in her shoes I’ll do worse than her. She loves you but was really stoked to find out that you’ve slept with Laura and even expecting a baby. Look in time her anger will definitely subside , and that will be a perfect time to talk to her.” Selene said.

” She has moved on with Justin.”

” A girl who truly loves a man won’t move on easily. She’s trying to get rid of you because she don’t wanna hurt herself. Skyler loves you a lot , she is just disappointed in you.” Selene said.

I couldn’t say a word , I kept quiet and mutter in my mind.

” I’ll talk to her myself if that’s gonna make you happy.” Selene said.

” It’s not about talking. It’s about seeing reasons that I’m sorry and i regretted everything.” I said sitting up.

” Don’t worry , I’ll see what I can do.” Selene said.

” Thanks.”

” You wanna eat something ? ”

” No I’m not hungry. I don’t even have an appetite.” I said.

” Just chill out and eat.”

” I’ll prepare something light okay.” Selene said tapping my cheek lightly and walked out.

I tried to move on but I can’t. Alex and thando took me out to the club just to catch fun and forget about skyler. It didn’t work out , I ended up having a migraine.

” You need to forget about Skyler and have fun.” Thando said.

” Fun ? What type of fun ?” I asked.

” There are a lot of hoes out here. You might wanna stick in.” Thando said.

” I’m not a b***h.” I said.

” You’ve always been a b***h lino.”

” But not anymore. Skyler showed me love alright.” I said.

” Seriously. But that same Skyler don’t even give a f**k about you. You should be thinking about tomorrow and your future. You no longer come to work, you’re always giving excuses. Lino you are expecting a child.” Thando said and i became paranoid.

” Just f**k out. Why do you have to make me remember Laura. I hate her and you just crossed the line. God.” I said and walked out.

” Thando you’ve done more than worse. He’s our friend , that’s not the way to handle such issues.” Alex said and thando scoff.

” Hey Sky.” Selene said one day .

” Hi. You visited. Why don’t you come in.”

” No , I’m fine here. I just wanted to talk.” Selene said and Skyler smiled.

” Alright go on.”

” It’s about angel.”

” Is he sick ?” Skyler asked pretentiously.

” It’s not right if you keep acting as if he doesn’t exist and you don’t love him. Deep down in your heart you’re wishing things didn’t turn out that way. You still want him sky.”

” Just stop. What do you want ?” Skyler asked in a sober manner.

” You’ve always been my role model. I admire you , most times I wished I was you. But I can’t believe my role model can handle such issues this way. The best thing you could do was hear him out , you should have let him explain , but you were too fast to have judge him quickly. Fine he must have made a mistake but it wasn’t intentional. Laura drugged him and made him sleep with her , he wasn’t aware. He hated himself after the act. Who could believe such mistake could bring a baby. This is the time you need to prove to him you love him and not all this silly acts you’re putting on.”

” You don’t understand.”

” I don’t wanna understand. He’s always indoors and he don’t wanna talk to anyone. He’s angry and wants to commit suicide. He hates his life because the one girl he managed to fall in love with has forsaken him. He’s not in his right mood anymore. If anything happens to angel I’ll never forgive you , never. I won’t.” Selene said and stormed out.

” God.” Skyler said touching her head.

She sob and walked back to her apartment.

” Angel.” Laura called touching my back.

I was at my balcony thinking about my life.

” Just get out.” I said softly.

” Why should I listen to you ?” Laura asked running her hands on my back.

” Angel i love you. What ever thing I did I’m sorry.” Laura said.

I chuckled sadly and remained mute.

” You’re expecting a child you should be happy and take everything back. I’m giving you a child.”

” So why should I be happy ?” I asked without looking at her.

” Because I’m giving you a child.”

” From a whore.” I said.

” What ?” Lorah asked silently.

I turned to face her and sighed.

” There are different types of prostitutes. The ones that stand on the road , the ones that stay in a brothel , the ones that always hang around hotels and the ones that force themselves on men. Lorah if I were you I’ll do myself a favor by staying away from me. I don’t love you and I’ll never love you. The fact that you’re pregnant for me doesn’t mean I’m gonna fall in love with you, never except you wanna use a voodoo on me. Just get out. ” I said and walked out on her.

* Skyler’s apartment *

” It’s nice you’re moving on. It’s the wisest decision you’ve ever made.” Edna said.

Skyler remain mute and sighed deeply.

” Your dad’s got a new plan to benefit the whole of cape Town.” Edna said.

” And what’s that ?” Skyler asked.

” I’m buying the whole south of Capetown.” Jonah said walking into their conversation.

” Why ? I mean what are you gonna do with the civilization that’s around prince Albert ?”

” Nothing much. They are gonna move out .” Jonah said.

” Dad why are you doing this ? There are a lot of lives who stay there. Lives who couldn’t afford the rents on montagu , lives who find peace in the south, where are they gonna move to ? To the bridge ? Or incomplete buildings. The past governor was a bit wise to have decided to build the south, you just maneuver yourself into the seat and all of that civilization ended. Why are you doing this ?” Skyler fired.

” Sky you’re talking to your dad.” Edna cut in.

” No let her talk. It’s for the benefit of the whole western cape. I’m building a factory , an industry and precisely a standard hotel for the jobless ones to work in. Including your broke boyfriend , and you ask a question where are they gonna move to , they just need to work harder and move out. For the poor ones they can manage the bridge and the incomplete buildings.” Jonah said and walked out.

” Mom , why are you always supporting dad ? Is it because he’s your husband. You can talk to him this is not right.” Skyler said.

” It’s your dad. He has a reason for every decision, you just need to respect that.” Edna said proceeding to work out.

” It’s not fair. I won’t stand and watched father destroy people’s lives in the name of building a better civilization. Prince Albert it’s too large to be turned to a place for business.” Skyler said.

” It’s a waste of time. Your dad already drew the plan. We are also building our mansion there too. Deal with that.” Edna said.

” You’re the worst mother I’ve ever seen. You will regret this.” Skyler said and stormed out.

” Skyler.” She called out but didn’t get a reply.
