” Skyler you’re dating him ?” Edna asked one day.

Her best friend Bibi was present. Jonah walked in really angry.

” You also have another boyfriend. A broke a$$ boyfriend. Why are you making me to regret begetting you ?” Jonah asked.

” Honey you just gotta calm down.” Edna said trying to calm Jonah down.

” Skyler you need to end whatever thing you are having with Angelino or else I will end his life.” Jonah yelled.

” I don’t love Justin anymore. You can’t keep me tied to Justin because of a family bond. He’s not my kind, you guys just gotta deal with that. I love angel and I won’t stay away from him no matter how hard you try.” Skyler said.

Jonah who was angered gave Skyler a slap. Skyler held her cheek and tried to console herself to stop crying.

” Honey it hasn’t gotten to that.”

” Talk to your useless daughter.” Jonah said and left in anger.

” Sky what is your problem ?” Edna asked sitting close to skyler.

” Mom not now okay. You’re my mom you should understand me better than anyone. You don’t care about me just like dad. The fact that I’m the only child doesn’t mean I should be treated like a six years old girl.”

” Skyler you’re not a child but you don’t know what you’re doing.” Edna said.

” I get it. If I could remember vividly gogo didn’t make choices for you. She didn’t force you to marry dad why are you forcing me to marry Justin ?”

” Skyler don’t start. I love your father just like the way you love Justin once. You need to think twice before making any decisions.” Edna said.

” I get it. Angelino Is my decision you guys just gotta deal with that.” Skyler said standing up.

” I think migration was a bitter idea it’s making you go insane. You’re leaving that boy and it’s a must.” Edna yelled.

Skyler hissed and walked out.

Bibi got up and followed her friend. She slammed Skyler’s door open and barged in sitting close to skyler.

” You are hurting yourself , I hope you know that ?” Bibi asked.

” I don’t love Justin.”

” I know. I also don’t prefer him for you too. You both fight a lot and it’s so painful your parents are not seeing it.” Bibi said massaging Skyler’s hair.

” I don’t know what to do.”

” Elope with him..” Bibi said.

Skyler looked up and scoffs.

” That’s the worst idea ever. The news will be everywhere. The governor’s daughter ran away with her rumoured lover who happens to be broke. I don’t want that to happen.”

” You’ll be a heroine. You did it for love.”

” No Bibi. I just don’t want that to happen. My mom might die of a heart attack.” Skyler said wiping her tears.

” Alright.. it’s okay everything will be fine. You just need to be strong.” Bibi said and smiled.

” Thanks b, you are indeed a good friend.” Skyler said and smiled back.

” Four years of friendship is not a joke.” Bibi said as they both laugh.

” I guess..” Skyler said softly.

” I’m going out.” Skyler said standing up.

” Angelino ?”

” Yeah.” Skyler said opening her closet.

” I think you should give him a break. Your dad’s got an eye on you.” Bibi said.

” Whatever. I don’t have to obey his rules every single time. I’m over twenty.” Skyler said getting a dress.

” Alright.. you just gotta be careful.”

” Thanks.”

” Hey.”

” Can I come in ?” Skyler asked.

” Sure.” I replied without smiling.

Skyler walked into my room smiling broadly. She dropped her bag on the floor and grabbed me close to her.

” Not now sky.” I said to her.

” Are you alright ?”

” I guess. You shouldn’t be here.” I said.

Skyler’s expression faded away in a jiffy.

” What happened to you ?” she asked.

” Nothing. We need to be apart for a while. Your dad threatened my life that I should leave you alone or I might loose my life.”

” Is that the problem ? Are you a coward ?”

” I’m not a coward. But the fact remain the same. I’m not rich your father is rich. He’s my governor and he controls the whole of western cape. Anything can happen to me and nobody will give a f**k. His immediate friend is Richard Bart’s. Skyler you need to understand.”

” I get it. You don’t have to give up on me like that.” Skyler said.

” I’m not even your boyfriend.” I burst out.

” What !” She exclaimed softly.

I felt her pain , she was hurt.

” Maybe you’re right. You were born to spoil moods. Maybe we should stop talking to each other.” Skyler said and walked out.

I tried to stop her but it was too late . I sighed and pounce on my wall as if it was behind my problems.

I hated myself as usual. The problems were being too much and i couldn’t bear the burden. I wasn’t ready to love , the stories behind love is always awful and I’m not willing to start. Even if I decide to start it shouldn’t be Skyler.

I was too young to join my parents. Two days after I was outside alone , I refused to go to work over some personal issues. I thought I needed a break. I stood outside thinking about myself when Skyler walked in really angry.

” How could you ?” She asked with tears.

” I can’t believe you did this …” She stated.

I was fuckin confused and unaware.

” What are you talking about ?” I managed to ask.

” You’ve been sleeping with lorah and you lied.”

Jeez I was dump founded. I couldn’t believe my ears.

” Who told you that trash ?” I asked.

” You know it’s not trash. Lino you’ve been having a secret affair with her, is that why you’ve been refusing to give me a chance because of your dirty secret. I can’t believe you can be so cheap.” She cried.

” Skyler you don’t understand.”

” f**k you. You even got her pregnant. You want to deny that now ? You are a looser and you’ll always remain one.” Skyler said and stormed out.

I tried calling her back but she ignored me. I was hurt and pained. I felt her pains for once. I guess that was when I realized that I was truly in love with her.

I hated Laura , I can’t believe she had to lie to Skyler. I went back to my room and lie down. I couldn’t sleep I thought about Laura and the pregnancy allegations . I hoped it wasn’t true , I find myself thinking about Skyler.

She was all I wanted that minute. I regretted my actions and I missed her , all I wanted that minute was to be with her.

Evening approached and the guys returned from work. Selene walked in and saw me in a sober condition.

” Angel are you okay ?” She asked checking my temperature.

” Where’s Laura ?” I asked sitting up.

” In her room. Is everything alright ?”

I refused to answer but walked out moving straight to Laura’s room. I didn’t bother to knock , she was half naked standing still on her bikinis.

” Lino have you lost your manners ?” She asked.

” Why did you tell Skyler ?”

” I don’t get you. Lino I told her the truth.”

” What fuckin truth ?” I asked a bit high.

” That I’m fuckin pregnant for you.”

I couldn’t believe my ears. I felt like collapsing.

” Lino I’m pregnant. I visited the lab today and that’s the results.” She said throwing an envelop at me.

I picked it and opened it. I couldn’t believe what I saw , five weeks pregnant.

” Laura why ?” I asked.

My eyes were filled with tears.

” How is it my fault. You had sex with me. And babies happens when two opposite sex make love. Why are you trying to act as if I raped you.”

” You drugged me. I will never make out with you. Laura I don’t love you why are you trying to force yourself on me. You are just acting cheap.” I yelled.

” Oh yeah. Get ready to take responsibility of your child , you dare not think about dumping me you a$$ hole.”

I got angry and slapped Laura. She cried and wanted to pounce back on me when the guys rushed in.

” What’s going on ?” They asked.

I refused to say a word. I threw the test results and walked out angrily. Laura has pushed me to the edge. I’ve never hit a woman since I was born , Laura made me hate myself.

I can’t believe Laura’s pregnant…
