Entangled – Episode 16

I left the hotel that day and went home. I saw Selene talking to a neighbor. She turned to look at me and smiled embracing me, I held her and smiled too.

I guess I missed them too.

” You owe a lot of apologies.” She said walking me to the living room.

” Yeah I know I’m sorry.”

” Everyone was really worried, Laura was even sick too. Really weird and annoying.” Selene said and I chuckled deeply.

” I guess.” I whispered.

” Sky was here she said you weren’t picking her calls too. The baby girl missed you so much.” Selene said.

” Yeah, we were together today, she actually talked to me about coming home.”

” Thank God you’re back.” She said.

” What do you wanna eat ? Anything say it.” Selene said and i Chuckled.

” Anything, I’m not even hungry.”

” You’re hungry and you’re definitely eating something, I’ll be back.” Selene said and left for the kitchen.

I sighed and sat down. It seems the guys weren’t around. Lorah walked in, she was really pale. She sat opposite me and frowned.

” Where did you go ?” She asked.

” I was around.”

” Really? Angel you got everyone worried. Including me, I was really worried.” She said and I scoff.

” You don’t have to.” I said removing my jacket.

” Let me help you with that.”

” Thanks I’m cool. I need to be in my room.” I said standing up and walked out.

I knocked on thando’s room door. It opened and a girl came out , she was well dressed and it seems she was about leaving.

” Hey, you look hot.” She said touching my chest.

” Thanks.” I said removing her hands.

” Okay bye, that’s enough. You don’t ever get tired, you don’t mind raping I and my brother.” Thando said pushing her away gently.

” Bye cute boy.” The girl said and left.

I walked into his room, God the aroma wasn’t pleasing at all. I helped him open his window and took a deep breath.

” Jeez , what just happened in your room?” I asked Sitting down.

” Well nothing much, just a seven rounds hits.”

” What ! You know you can’t even if she’s a whore.” I said.

” Just 3 rounds. I made sure I had enough till my pay was due.” Thando said sitting down.

” That’s crazy, your room’s smelling.”

” Yeah. So what’s up with you ? Are you back from Paris ?” Thando asked.

” You’re crazy. Well I guess I’m back.”

” Next time take your princess along, she’s really worse than a disturbia.”

” What happened?” I asked.

” She missed you a lot. Like a lot. You need to find a solution to her obsession.”

I sighed and frowned.

” And also you should have picked up the calls. You got everyone worried.”

” I’m sorry.” I said.

” I just needed a few time.’ I said.

” Alright. Your girlfriend came looking for you.”

” Girlfriend? Who ?” I asked.

” Justin’s girlfriend. She was here.”

” She’s not my girlfriend.” I said.

I wasn’t even sure.

” Really, but you’ve had sex with her ?”

” I haven’t.” I lied.

” Really ?”

” Yeah. I mean I’m not just ready for all the dramas.” I said and sighed.

I wasn’t too sure why I lied but I felt we all need privacy no matter how close we are to some certain people.

” You’ve thought about my proposal?” Thando asked.

” Don’t even remember any one.”

” You have to do it. Just swindle a little cash from her. It’s not your fault no one is gonna blame you, just tell her you need money and in a twinkle of an eye millions will be dropping.”

” I already said my mind, I can’t and I won’t. I can’t lie to her about love and I’m not even sure about myself.”

” Angel you’re not lieing , it’s part of love partners assist each other. It’s part of a relationship.”

” She’s not my partner, we are not dating.” I said.

I was beginning to get paranoid.

” I’m leaving, I just don’t wanna talk about it.” I said and left his room and proceed to my own room.

I closed my door and fell on my bed. I missed the hotel already. My phone popped up and I saw a call, Skyler’s the dialer.

” Hey.” I said on the phone a bit tensed.

” Angel where are you?”

” Home and you ?”

” I’m home. Thank God you arrived I was really worried.”

” I missed the hotel.” I said.

” Why ? There’s no place like home.” Skyler said.

” Well most times there’s a place like home.” I said and Skyler chuckle.

” Thanks, I’m always missing you.” Skyler said.

” Thanks too for today.” I said and she gigles.

” Talk to you later..” she said and ended the call.

” So he’s your new boyfriend ?” Bibi asked one-day.

” I don’t know what you are talking about.” Skyler responded going through her chat.

” Come on I’ve seen it all. You truly love him and it’s nice you’re moving on.” Bibi said.

” Thanks.” Skyler replied.

” So tell me about him ? His he like every typical African man ? Dark skin or brown skin ?” Bibi asked cuddling Skyler’s hair.

” Well you failed. Angel is cute, yeah and… Wait I’ve his photo we’ve taken a selfie together” Skyler said sitting up .

” Is that the guy ?” Bibi asked staring at Skyler’s phone.

” Yeah. So…”

” He’s damn hot. Where did you get him from ?” Bibi asked.

” Well I can’t tell .”

” Can I come with you when next you visit him ?” Bibi asked.

” I’ll think about it.”

” Please, I’m your best friend you shouldn’t forget so soon.” Bibi said pouting her face.

” Alright you win.”

” Thank you.”

I was at the lake one evening, I barely stay at home and all I wanted was to move out. After my days job I always leave the house. It is either I’m visiting the garden close to the orphanage were I once grew up or I’m at the lake.

It has a wooden jetty where I always sit and throw pebble at the water. I wished some rich guys come along and date Lorah at least it can save me from the mess she’s trying to create. I thought about the sex and her tears, I wished she never gets pregnant cause I wasn’t even sure if i cum inside of her.

Skyler was there too, she was always acting like my girlfriend. Skyler’s cool yeah she’s pretty but I wasn’t ready to love her. She’s still dating Justin and her family is Richard Bart’s best friends. The union was too strong.

No day goes by that Skyler doesn’t ask me that same question. ‘ what do you think we are ?’ I’m truly confused and depressed. My phone vibrated and I looked down at it, Skyler is calling.

” Hey.” I said still throwing pebbles inside the lake since my phone was on loud speaker.

” Where are you?” She asked.

” You wanna come ?” I asked.

” Yeah.” I replied.

” I’m at the lake.”

” Cool I’m coming.” She said and ended the call.

” God.” I said in my thoughts.

Well I kinda missed her company but I also wanted to be alone. In not less than five minutes, Skyler’s car drove into the yard. I got up from the jetty to meet her, she was with her friend who I assume must be Bibi . She was pretty cool I guess.

” Hi angel.” Skyler said giving me a kiss on my cheek.

” Hey.” I said and smiled at bibi.

” Hi.” I said to her.

She smiled at me seductively and gave me her hands as we exchange handshake.

“I’m Bibi.” She said and winked.

” Angelino.” I said and smiled half way.

” She’s my best friend.” Skyler said and smiled at me.

” She’s pretty.” I said and Bibi blushed.

I wasn’t expecting that .

” I’ll be back, it seems i left my phone in the car.” Skyler said walking back to her car.

” You look hot.” Bibi said as we turned to look at the lake.

” You’re the new boyfriend huh ?” Bibi asked.

” Not really.” I said.

” Don’t be too emotional she’s Justin’s bethroted.” Bibi said and I smiled deeply.

Bibi was always staring at my eyes seductively. She took my hand and pressed something at it.

” Don’t let her see it.” Bibi whispered.

I nodded unaware and kept it inside my pocket it was a sheet of paper. Skyler Walk back smiling at me.

” I’ll take my leave now.” Bibi said.

” Alright.” Skyler said and Bibi proceed to leave .

” Bye Angel.” Bibi said.

” Don’t forget.” She whispered and i chuckled deeply.

” How long have you known Bibi ?” I asked Skyler sitting on the jetty.

” Well, five years. She’s been my friend since senior year, we attend the same high school in London.” Skyler explained.

” That’s a lot.” I said.

” What are you doing out here ?”

Skyler asked throwing pebbles at the water too.

” To be alone .” I said.

” Why ?” She asked.

” Nothing. I just wanted to be alone.” I said.

” Weird.” She said throwing another pebble which went really far.

” Did you see that ?” She asked gigling referring to her pebble.

” Yeah. Watch mine.” I said smiling.

I picked a pebble and threw it at the lake and it really went farther than Skyler’s.

” How did you do that ?” Skyler asked.

” I’m a man.” I said and smiled at her.

” Well I’m a woman and I’m gonna beat that.” Skyler said and throw another pebble but it still didn’t beat mine .

I was force to laugh in a mocking manner.

” Don’t mock me.” She said and pricked my waist.

” Ouch that hurts.” I said and she laughs.

” Sorry.” I said.

” It’s fine. You wanna play chase ?”

” No. Let’s talk about you and Justin.” I said.

Skyler sighed and looked away.

” What about Justin ?”

” Is he your bethroted ?” I asked.

” Who told you that ?”

” No one I’m just asking. I’m only concerned.” I said.

” Do you love me ?” Skyler asked.

” I asked first.” I cut in.

” Just answer first.” Skyler said.

That was a huge question that I can’t answer. If I want to it shouldn’t be now.

” I don’t know..” I blurted out.

I couldn’t listen to my own words, Skyler’s face was crowded.

” You don’t know ?” Skyler asked.

” You don’t understand, I’m confused I’m not sure. I don’t even know what love is or what it feels like or what it taste like. Skyler I don’t know.. ” I said.

I was hurt by my own words.

” We should talk later.” Skyler said standing up.

” Sky wait.” I called rushing after her.

” Not now okay, you just need to think about us , what do you think you’re feeling ? Why are you always around me ? These questions should be going on in your annoying brain.” Skyler said pushing me aside.

I couldn’t stop her , I sighed and watched her entered her car and drove away. I missed her all of a sudden again.

I returned back to the jetty and sat down, i was back to the mood I once was. I took a pebble and throw it at the water I wasn’t impressed. I thought about her and her questions, my own question. I remembered bibi’s paper and brought it out of my pocket. I stretched it out and read what’s written on it.

‘ you look hot , please call me ‘ and her number was written on it.

” What does she want ?”

” Another trouble ?”
