Entangled – Episode 8

One evening I decided to take a walk since lorah was just being too annoying . I’d told her countless times that I can’t love her but she keep repeating the the same thing. I just felt guilt all over me.

I stood at the lagoon and stare endlessly at it. Almost evening I proceed to leave for home when it started raining . I wore my hoodie and hurriedly left for home. I saw someone standing close to a car holding a umbrella. I was shocked.

” Hey ” I said .

” Lino ” She said.

” What are you doing here ?” I asked.

” Damn it’s a long story. I’m really cold. ” She said.

” What happened ?” I asked.

” I took a drive to get away from home and was returning home when my car broke down. I called my boyfriend Justin to come pick me up but his number isn’t going through. I called my mom and best friend but there’s no way out . I’m stuck and stranded and there is no I can get a mechanic cause it’s late ” She said .

” Sorry about that. I’m not a mechanic and I can’t fix a car. But I think you can spend the night in my house ” I said.

” What !”

” Sky I’m not a rapist , I just wanna help. I have about five housemates but it’s cool .” I said .

She kept quiet and stare at me. I was really soaked.

” I understand , you’re used to bungalows and mansions , my bed cracks you hate it I know ” I said.

” Shut up and take me there ” She said smiling.

I chuckled and took her hands. She was really slow at walking.

” You need to walk fast okay . It’s really raining heavily ” I said.

” Yeah I’m not used to walking , it’s miserable ” She cried.

We got to my apartment and we were soaked. I opened the door and ushered her in.

” What !” The guys exclaimed.

” Skyler , what on Earth is she doing here ?”

” Hey guys ” She greeted.

” Hi , you’re really soaked ” Selene said .

” I think so too ” Skyler said and smiled.

” Just come with me ” I said holding her hands and took her to my room .

” Wow your bed is dope. That bed cost about 35 rands, a whole lot of money ” She said looking around my room.

” You’re a fan of Chris brown ?” She asked smiling at me.

” How did you know ? ”

” I saw the CDs ” She said and I kept it properly.

” That’s enough surveys , you just need to shower ” I said .

” I don’t have any extra clothes ”

” It’s fine you can wear my T shirt and keep it afterwards ” I said to her and she chuckled.

” Cool ” She said and removed her jacket.

She was left with a tank top and her jeans .

” The bathroom is over there ” I said.

” I’m not blind and I can see it lino ” She said and I nodded.

I opened my closet and gave her one my favourite and expensive t shirt. I might be broke but I hate it when it’s pronounced reasons we all love looking good at least above our financial status.

She smiled at me and I walked out.

” What’s going on ?” They asked.

” What is Skyler doing here ?” Thando asked.

” Her car broke down and she lost signal to her family, I met her on the road and i suggested she spends the night here and tomorrow I’ll help her get a mechanic ” I explained.

” But why our house ? You should have taken her to a hotel ” lorah said

I was used to her hate speech .

” I hope it’s safe ? She’s the governor’s daughter ” Selene said.

” I know , it’s really weird ” I said.

” This is insane ” Thando whispered.

” She’s beautiful . I need to prepare dinner , lorah you’re up ” Selene said standing up.

” I can’t cook for Skyler, I’m not her slave ” Lorah protested.

” What is wrong with you ?” Alex asked.

” Is that jealousy or what ?” Alex asked.

” I think it’s jealousy ” Selene said.

” I’m not jealous of anyone okay ! I only said I can’t cook for Skyler , Justin’s girlfriend . I don’t wanna feel too down towards her . I mean no one ask her to be here in the first place ” Lorah said .

I shake my head and got up .

” I need to check on her ” I said and left for my room .

I walked In and I could still hear the sound of my shower running down in my bathroom. I was shocked to what I saw , she was still bathing. My bathroom door was made of glass so you could clearly see who’s inside .

I glanced at her naked body for a while before I left unnoticed . I helped Selene in the kitchen since Lora refused to assist her . She was beginning to piss me off . We arranged dinner on the dinning table. The others gathered to eat while I went to call Skyler. She was already dressed on my t shirt. I helped her dry hers on the clothes line .

” Dinner is served ” I said to her.

She smiled and chuckled deeply. She was fund of staring into my eyes .

” Alright , let’s go ” She said and followed me to the dinning room table . I helped her with her chair and made her sit . Lorah stare in rage .

” Why is she wearing your T shirt lino ?” Lorah asked.

Selene cleared her throat deeply and served on Skyler’s plates.

” Skyler please pray for us ” Alex said and Skyler smiled.

” Alright ” She said .

” Eyes closed please ” She said and started praying .

In less than seconds she was done.

Lorah looked at her and scoffs.

” You don’t seem too friendly ” Skyler said referring to lorah who wasn’t eating well.

” I am friendly ” lorah replied In a rather annoying manner .

I stare at lorah and she glanced at me in anger. Skyler was mute and continued eating.

” I guess Selene cooked this ?” Skyler asked.

” How did you know ?” Selene asked.

Skyler chuckled and smiled.

” It tastes delicious just like you ” Skyler teased .

” Thanks ” Selene replied. She was already blushing .

” She’s the best cook in the house , followed by lino ” Alex said .

” You can cook ?” Skyler ask.

” I dare not say yes ” I said and smiled half way.

” I love that ”

” Come on , everyone knows I’m a better cook than Selene ” Lorah said at once.

” We didn’t argue ” I said .

” Wow , I suck at cooking at my early 18 ” Skyler said and we chuckled.

” Yeah we all know rich kids suck at cooking , they are all spoilt brats ” lorah said .

” Now that’s enough , what the f**k is your problem ?” I ask really pissed .

” You shouldn’t have brought her here in the first place . She has a horrible boyfriend and a very greedy father ” Lorah said standing up and leaving the dinning .

Skyler pretended to smile but deep down I know she was hurt .

” We are sorry ” Alex pleaded .

” It’s fine , I understand ” Skyler said and smiled broadly .

Thando was just quiet all through . He barely smiles . We rounded up dinner and I helped Selene cleared the plates . Skyler chooses to assist but I refused .

” So who’s in for the devils game ?” Selene asked .

” I’m in ” Alex said .

” Thando ” Selene called .

” In ” Thando replied .

” Lorah what about you ?”

” I’m not playing ” She replied opening a book .

” Sky you’re in right ?”

” What’s a devils game ?” She asked.

” Trust me you’re gonna love it. It’s more like a truth or a dare game but there’s no truth just dare . If you can’t keep up with the dare you’re paying 5 Rands ” Alex said.

” Cool , I’m in ” Skyler said .

” No need In asking lino that’s his favorite game ” Selene said covering the cards with our name’s written on it .

” I’ll pick first ” Alex said picking a card .

” I dare Selene to give Skyler a lap dance ” Alex said.

” No way ” Lorah said.

” No it’s fine ” Skyler said chuckling .

” Oh my God ” Lorah said and gave Skyler a lap dance .

I couldn’t help but laugh , the scenario was crazy .

” My turn ” Thando said picking his card.

” Alex you’re in ?” Thando asked.

” Bring it on ”

” I dare you to give Selene a wet dip kiss ”

” What no way ” Selene objected .

” Why ?” Alex asked .

” Because I don’t want to . I’m paying the five rands ” Selene said bringing out her money .

” Any objections ?” Thando asked.

” Yeah I’m paying 7 rands . Selene must give me that kiss ” Alex said bringing out his own money .

” What ” Selene exclaimed .

” I’m paying ten rands ” Selene said .

” Further objections ? ”

” 15 rands ” Skyler said raising her hands up .

” Sky why ? I really wanted to taste her lips “Alex said .

” Sorry ” I said with Skyler.

” Yes , thanks for the bail ” Selene said .

” Lino you’re up . I dare you to give Skyler a kiss ” Selene said .

” What no way ” Skyler said at once.

” Justin won’t bite ” Alex said .

” I can’t . I’m paying the 5 Rands ” Skyler said .

” Do you hate him that much ?” Selene asked.

” I don’t hate lino ” Skyler replied.

I smiled as we stare romantic glances.

” I’m paying 10 rands for the kiss ” Selene said .

” 15 rands ” Skyler said.

” 25 ” I said.

” Just for a kiss . Is she an angel ?” Lorah cut in.

” I guess ” I said and winked at Lorah .

” Okay fine ” Skyler said standing up . She walked to me and lean forward for a kiss .

I looked into her eyes and smiled at her lips .

” It’s cool , I don’t want to kiss ” I said and pushed her backwards gently .

She took a deep breath and sat down .

” Your five Rands ” Selene said to her .

Skyler paid and the game continued for the night . At late hours we were really tired . Everyone left for their rooms for a night rest .

” You’re sleeping here , I’ll sleep else where ” I said to her .

” Okay ” She said and smiled at me.

” Good night ” I said to her and she nodded slightly.

” Good night ” She whispered and I proceed to leave for thando’s room .

” You look beautiful in that ” I said referring to my dress and left .

Lorah knocked on my room door but was surprised to see Skyler inside .

” What are you doing here ?” Lorah asked.

” I’m about to have a nap ” Skyler replied.

” You should be careful around him okay , lino is my boyfriend and I won’t have a rich weirdo trying to steal my man from him . He doesn’t love you and will never love you . We took a blood oath and we promised to be together till death just do yourself good by sticking to your horrible boyfriend Justin ” Lorah said and rushed out .

” f**k ” Skyler said and closed the door making it jammed .
