SKYLER

Justin knocked on her door as she opened up. She smiled faintly at him and walked back to her bedroom sitting in her bed.

” Hey ” He waved at her.

” Hi ”

” I’m sorry i didn’t call ” Justin said and skyler nodded.

” Yeah I understand , it’s fine. I’m sorry for acting really weird , maybe I just need to allow you make your own choices too ” Skyler said and smiled at Justin.

” Thanks. I missed you . You wanna go out tonight ? Our first night in western cape .” Justin said and skyler nodded smiling.

” Yeah ”

” Cool. Just get sexy for me tonight ” Justin said.

Skyler blushed and grinned.

” Did you miss joannesburg ?” She asked.

” No , you’re here in western cape with me so I don’t actually care much about joannesburg ” Justin said.

” I love you ” Skyler whispered.

Justin smiled broadly and kissed on her on the cheek .

That night , thando decided we party at the end of town. The club was the busiest in prince Albert. We sat down in a role as thando ordered for drinks .

I kept quiet observing every corner. Lorah was passing me glances , I frowned at her and looked away. I saw Skyler with her weird boyfriend. She didn’t see me , I stare at her for a while , she was smiling at Justin’s endless speech. She turned to look at me and waved slowly.

I smiled half way and looked away .

” Who’s he ?” Justin asked.

” I met him the day I arrived town. ” Skyler replied.

” Really ?”

” Yeah. I hope I don’t call that jealousy ” Skyler said as Justin turned to look at me.

” Guess who’s here ?” I said looking at the others .

” Who ?” They asked.

” Skyler ” I said.

” What !”

” Yeah , look over there ” I said turning to look at their direction.

” Oh my God. I need a selfie with her ” Selene said proceeding to get up when lorah stopped her.

” What is wrong with you ?” Lorah asked.

” What ! Jeez she’s a celeb . A photo with her will change my publicity , my Instagram is weak as f**k , get away from me ” Selene said getting up .

We watched her walk to Justin and Skyler’s table. She smiled and waved at Skyler .

” Hi ” Skyler said.

” Please sit if you want ” Skyler said.

Selene hurriedly sat down and winked at us.

” Sky what are you doing ?” Justin asked a bit paranoid.

” I don’t understand..” Skyler said.

” What do you want ?” Justin ask looking at Selene weirdly.

” I just wanted to talk to her. I’m her huge fan and I admire her a lot ” Selene explained.

” Then you’re not supposed to be here. Please get up , it’s fine she heard you , just leave ” Justin said.

” Justin..” Skyler called.

Selene stood up and left embarrassed.

” What was that for ?” Skyler asked angrily.

” It’s a date and not a night for some miserable fans of yours ” Justin said.

” God , you are unbearable ” She said standing up .

” God Skyler’s boyfriend is a bas***d ” Selene said opening a drink.

She truly felt embarrassed. Skyler walk to our table and smiled.

” Hi guys ” She said .

” Hi !”

” I’m really sorry for what happened there ” Skyler said referring to Selene .

” It’s fine .” Selene said.

” I apologise on his behalf ” Skyler added.

” We hear you , you can just leave ” Lorah said.

” Yeah. Thanks . See you lino ” She said and smiled.

She left returning to her table. Justin was no longer there. She picked her bag and left the club.

” Lorah what was the meaning of that ?” I asked.

” What ?” Lorah questioned.

” You were so rude. ” Alex said.

” f**k rude. She should stop pretending and trying to act nice . Skyler and her boyfriend are swines ” Lorah said.

” Shut up ” Selene yelled.

” You’re not better anyways. ” Selene said.

” You should really stop . sh*t like that shouldn’t repeat itself ” I said.

” Stop acting like my dad okay .” Lorah said.

” And you should stop acting like our mom ” Selene said hitting the table.

” Damn I’m out ” Lorah said and walked out.

” She’s really pissing me off ” Selene said.

” Yeah she’s really pissing everyone off ” Alex said.

” I won’t have people like Skyler and Lorah trying to ruin my night . I just wanna make out ” Thando said.

” I’ll be back. ” Thando said and left.

” I just need a rich boyfriend like Skyler’s . I don’t mind if his attitude is worse than Justin , we’re gonna deal with that ” Selene said and I chuckled.

” You’re so not serious . Are you ?” Alex asked.

” I guess I am ” Selene replied.

We stare at her for a while before I finally break the silence .

” I wanna go home ” I said standing up.

” Becareful , I’m still feeling the night ” Alex said and I nodded.

” Yeah me too ” Selene said.

I gave Alex a handshake and kissed Selene on the cheek and proceed to leave.

” Lino you want me to have nightmares ? Lorah’s dream boy gave me a cheek kiss , it’s gonna be hell , cause Lorah is gonna chase me with a gun in my dreams tonight ” Selene said.

Alex and I chuckled.

” No way. I don’t love her ” I said.

” Yeah we know. She’s really into you .” Selene said.

I smiled it off and bade them goodbye and left. I was really tired. I entered the house and switched on the light in the living room cause it was dark. I yawned continuously and reached for the refrigerator to drink water.

I saw Lorah , she stood at the passage staring endlessly at me. She was wearing her throngs and a crop top that exposes her nice abs. I turned to look at her , she smiled and walked up to me.

” You’re home so early ” She said.

” Yeah , I was sleepy ” I replied without staring at her.

” Hmm” she said deeply.

” Sorry about what happened ” She said.

” What ?”

” The way I sounded to Skyler ”

” It’s none of my business . I need to go to bed. ” I said dropping the can water on top on the refrigerator.

” Good night ” I said tapping Lorah on the cheek.

I left for my room and closed the door .

” Lino ” Lorah called knocking slightly on my door.

” f**k Lorah leave me alone ” I whispered and opened the door .

” I’m really sorry , I just wanna talk ” She said standing outside my room.

I ushered her in and sat down. She walked In and gently closed the door.

” Go on ” I said to her.

” I’m sorry if I’m being too forward, I don’t mean to look like a pest ” She said.

” Thank God she knows she’s a pest over my life ” I said to myself.

” It’s fine I understand ” I said and smiled half way .

” But I was really serious , I Know it may sound weird but I truly have feelings for you. Fine I’m gonna ki*ll it but it’s not as easy as you thought , I don’t want you to hate me ” She said.

I smiled and sighed.

” Look I don’t hate you , but it’s really irritating if you keep letting jealousy push you really far , I’ve always liked you like a sister and a friend. I can never love , I hate love it’s so silly. I don’t wanna hurt you , you mean a lot to me without knowing. It would be nice if you understand we are not met for each other .” I said.

She kept quiet and stare on the floor like someone who lost a pin .

” It’s fine ” She said standing up and walked out .

” God ” I said standing up and locked my door.

I just hate myself. I frowned and looked at the mirror staring at my reflection. I removed my clothes and step on the bathroom to shower .

” What was the meaning of the embarrassment you made ?” Justin asked angrily .

” Is that why you have to wait for me in my room ?” Skyler asked.

She scoffs and removed her jewelries one after the other .

” Most times I always regret why I feel in love with you . You’re too proud and full of yourself . Because your dad is a governor you want people to do exactly what you want ”

” Oh yeah. Just hit the nail on the wood . Just be straight forward , say it that you’re tired of the relationship and you already have a new girlfriend ” Skyler yelled.

” I’m out of here ” Justin said and angrily left .

” God I hate my life . When will I be happy in a relationship ? ” She lamented sobbing slowly.

Skyler’s relationship with Justin has always been cool in their first year till things started fading away the second year. Always fighting, arguing , and fight again. It’s been hell through out the three years .

She wiped her tears and fall on her bed thinking about the good days .
