Idris shifted uncomfortably on his seat as he watched the every move of Dr Red wondering what the hell is wrong with the man. Red stopped and cleared his throat

‘Idris Krieger right?’

‘A sad reality I have to live with it’ he sighed irritated by his last name

‘By any chance, is your mom’s name Mia Iris Krieger?’ Red asked curiously

‘Y…..y….y…yes’ Idris stammered

‘And your father Hank Krieger?’

‘Yes?’

‘Then it’s her!’ Red exclaimed

‘What do you mean?’ Idris asked confusedly

‘Your mom once worked as the PA of Sydney Bricks, queen of all media right?’

‘Right’

‘Well if I’m right…no I certainly am, you know Cedric Elliott Bricks is my older brother and he was rumoured to have die in an accident twenty six years ago and then shortly after that, Sydney disappeared into thin air’

‘Yes, I know that very well. Mom never stopped talking about the tragic event’ Idris said agitatedly shifting uncomfortably

‘It was indeed a rumour. Well not fully. Cedric did he involved in an accident but he didn’t die, he fell into a deep coma that lasted for twenty four years. That day, Sydney had come to me complaining about her health so I ran a test on her and found out that she was pregnant. She was planning on telling him that day’

‘Why don’t I like this story?’ Idris asked shakily already putting two and two together

‘The accident really broke her spirit so she never noticed that she was being poisoned with a pernicious poison that was damaging her system until it got to the critical moment, during the time for her to give birth, it was then I noticed the poison which was cleverly hidden in her system.

It was too late to do anything, she gave birth but went into a coma afterwards. The poison affected the baby’s heart but she survived. I and her best friend, Dr Queller treated the child for six months while she stayed hidden as one of the twin daughters to Mia Krieger’ Red explained sadly. ‘A sad mistake’

‘I don’t understand…no I do. How did Mia get involved?’ Idris asked confusedly

‘Sydney trusted her with her life so when she found out about the poison, she insisted that Mia pretend that she bore twin and keep the baby as her own until she gets better. Mia was to give birth on the same day so that’s what we did even tho I hated the idea. The truth was that the person after their lives would come after the innocent child and Sydney was terrified about that.’

‘Then what happened? Did my father even know?’ Idris asked tearily

‘No, he never did. No one did. As time went on, Mia stopped bringing her for treatment and before I knew it she disappeared with the child’

‘I guess my mother realized who she was carrying and decided to use it for her own gain’ Idris said laughing humorlessly. Red sighed

‘Yea. I wanted to search for the baby but the killers were monitoring my every move so I had to stay put. The most painful decision I ever made. The next time I saw her, the baby was no longer with her and your father was married to Katherine Roe, Sydney’s older step sisters. My best guess is that Katherine realized who the baby was and married your dad to become her legal guardian so she could will the properties to herself, just like Mia planned to do’

‘That will explain why Katherine wanted to marry dad so much and why mom didn’t let go of the twins and if I’m right, Amethyst is Sydney’s daughter right?’ Idris said calmly

‘Who’s Amethyst? All I know is that the one with the violet eyes and weird hair is Sydney’s daughter. Her real name is Delancy Xena Bricks’ he replied sadly giving Idris a photograph. Idris took it and stared at the image of a man and a woman staring at each other with so much love

Cedric and Sydney Bricks. The two beautiful couple were obviously madly in love with each other by the way they held and stared each other with too much love. Idris smiled painfully looking at the photo. Cedric had the same hair and eyes as AJ’s, even her glowing complexion. He now knew where she inherited those awesome features from

There was no need thinking twice because AJ looked exactly like Sydney, the goddess like beauty and darling smile, the soft and delicate body statue and the enthusiastic aura. AJ was indeed the daughter of Cedric and Sydney Bricks, even a baby could see it.

‘They are beautiful’ he commented smilingly, a tear running down his cheek. Now he understood why AJ was so different and incredibly special. ‘Is she still in a coma?’

‘Yes, she still is but Cedric is awake now, he woke up two years ago but I didn’t tell him about his missing daughter. Seeing Sydney like that was already hard enough’

He pushed his head backward and laughed. ‘The next thing you will tell me is Sardonyx isn’t my dad’s daughter as well’ it was meant to be an ironic sentence but the look on Red’s face made every single color he had left on his face pale out. ‘You have got to be kidding me!’ He exclaimed

‘I’m sorry Idris but if I remember correctly, Mia once told Sydney that she was cheating on your father with a much caring and useful man, she also said the man was oblivious to the fact that she was married and she didn’t plan on telling him. I’ve forgotten his name…something with a Adam or something’

Idris thought back to the man that always came to see his mom every time his dad went out of town. Mia would clean up the house and every trace of his dad away but then he was too young to know what that meant. He remembered the day the man came furiously and he was yelling something about Mia being married and deceiving him and also demanding his child but Mia denied everything. Now he saw the resemblance between him and Sardonyx

‘I will love to speak with Mia so please bring her over’

‘Her dead body is what I’ll bring to you’ Idris said angrily. ‘How can these two simple people ruin our lives like this? What am I suppose to tell an already shattered Sardonyx? This isn’t sane’ he yelled more tears rolling down his cheeks. ‘They have both gone through so much’ he added in a whisper covering his face with his palms

‘What!’ Red exclaimed with shock. Idris lifted his head and saw the office glowing red

‘What’s happening?’ He asked confusedly

‘Delancy’ he panicked running around getting his things. ‘Come on!’ He yelled and ran out of the office. Idris ran after him and when they got there he was heartbroken by the sight of AJ, he averted his gaze to Sandy who was crying silently. The name of the man flashed in his head and he smiled determinably

‘I’ll find your biological father San and give you the happiness you deserve. Even if I die trying, I’ll find you Adam Bailey’ he thought
