Prologue

Has love ever frustrated you to the point that you almost take your life, or change into something you are not? Not just general love, love in every area? Well it has, to me.

My name is Sardonyx Krieger, my family did love me but not as much as they loved my twin Amethyst, don’t complain about our names, our parents are “idiots”… Anyways, everyone loved her, her presence brought joy, her voice was soothing, her smile brought peace and her laughter absolute jubilation. From her charisma to her aura to her person, she was nothing but a sea of bliss, enthusiasm and delight. Everything she touched excelled every words she said with a smile came to pass and since she’s always smiling, you can imagine that.

She had the beauty of a goddess, the perfect lucky charm.

When you hear her name, you’ll find yourself grinning, her presence calms down anyone no matter how angry they are. Her eyes are like nothing I’ve ever seen, big extremely sparkly violet with a light shade of gray and apple green highlight, tho her eyes glinted with every emotions, when it’s wet, God! It’s like looking at the moon and star light reflect on a lake, like a glorious sunset

Her hair, a very delicate color which I’m yet to figure out, when wet, it’s the most yummy chocolate color I’ve ever seen, when under the sun, it takes the color of bronze and sometimes gold and when under the moon, it glows in a light strawberry blonde color. Her hair was long and it touch could send you to paradise. Her lips were what you’ll call sexy with a light lavender color and her body… Geez Louise! I won’t go there yet

She was beautiful, no enchanting, magical, irresistible, an unintentional temptress, even after my parents divorced, they still fought for who will keep the lucky charm while I was easily tossed to my mom and my older brother to my dad, we were just ten then. When the battle to take her went too far, she ran away

Bad as it may sound, I was happy she left, at least no one will outshine me, I was beautiful don’t mistake that, long light brown hair and gray eyes, beautiful but in her presence, my beauty was worthless.

Next I suffered nine heart breaks, each harder than the last but my heart refuse to stop giving men a chance, after the last heart break, I moved from New Jersey to New York with my best friends, there I fell in love with my boss who I thought loved me but again it became heart break number ten.

My Sister! She called me unexpectedly, turns out she ran into the arms of a damn wealthy family, always fortunate!

I tried my best to ignore her and got another job with a handsome guy as my boss again, I was okay, as long as she stays away from me.
