LOST TREASURE
LOST TREASURE
i showed them the path of our ancestors
the mould which they trudged
I reveal the beauteous of our nature
so they could ignore the allure of their suitors
I beseech them to be wrapped in the warmth of our Land
do not wander beyond the turf of it’s love I plead
let the love lead you to the light
hence you get lost in darkness
together we can triumph over the abyss
if we embrace what’s ours
but their thirst for what isn’t theirs couldn’t be quenched
they run away from their fertile land
to a barren meadow
they ignore their freedom for a liberty hidden in bondage
they erode their treasures on the altar of modernisation
now they mourn their loss
searching fervently for what they took for granted
the mould which they trudged
I reveal the beauteous of our nature
so they could ignore the allure of their suitors
I beseech them to be wrapped in the warmth of our Land
do not wander beyond the turf of it’s love I plead
let the love lead you to the light
hence you get lost in darkness
together we can triumph over the abyss
if we embrace what’s ours
but their thirst for what isn’t theirs couldn’t be quenched
they run away from their fertile land
to a barren meadow
they ignore their freedom for a liberty hidden in bondage
they erode their treasures on the altar of modernisation
now they mourn their loss
searching fervently for what they took for granted
